Mechanics of aTurbo. MY PICS!

FINALLY! Got my second t3 .60/.63

Came with alot of extra ----, now I do have a spare one that has a blown center cartridge but has all new fittings on it so Ill be transferring all those over.

Just looking for info on WTF everything is. Im looking to run the downpipe on the passenger side under the raised part of the oil pan, now this came with a partial DP, can I just cut off the flange and bring it to a muffler shop and get my 3" made right off of it?

Now Im looking to run 16psi, external wastegate.
Came with quite a bit of extra hardlines, manifold flange, etc etc.

Just hoping someone could modify the pictures to show me what everything is called, oil return, oil inlet, vacuum sources etc etc. Just so I can grab the hang of it.

Spent all afternoon gasket matching the intake and exhaust of the head to the venom intake and the SSAC mani

As soon as I pick up some head bolts and my rods from SSL2K get here the motor will be assembled and I can mock everything up. Ive got 3 months to have everything all together. Hope to install it all (motor swap and turbo and have it tuned) in the 2 weeks I didnt take this summer for vacation Ill take early march.

Thanks for the help

they load for me now

main thing I dont know is what is that sphere type thing with the rod across the turbo

Is that only for internal wastegate? Explanation?

I wanna boost mega power but whats a wastegate? Blah ::) ::) Blah. Wanna bet my all motor sohc will be faster then your turbo set up becasue all you do is post nonsense and dont bother learning. :)

wow someones on there ------- rag, Ive never wanted n/a

I dont care if I didnt know that was the stock wastegate. The setups I care about looking at didnt have it, seen them in a few for sale threads but never knew what it was, so I ask.....

Re:Mechanics of aTurbo. MY PICS!

Lets see if your smart enough to fix an internal wastegated turbo to external LOL. Hence my n/a car will be faster then your super boosted d.

Re:Mechanics of aTurbo. MY PICS!

isnt it just a matter of blocking off the wastegate hole on the snail and running an external wastegate?

And no I guess Im not learning fast enough for the 3 months I think Ive been here.
1-im 18
2-works 48 hr/week
3-school 16 hr/week
4-try to have a social life 6 hr/week
rest of the time its learning about building my motor, which I have completely accomplished buying and have everything coming.

Just trying to grasp the mechanical part of boost and learning TurboEdit now. Im not even entirely set on going turbo with this engine, I may still go DP nitrous that I just bought, or both, have to work with my high compression first

Its ok dude.I think Chris is on the "mod" trip ::).Thats cool if you didnt know. The cool thing is that you asked.Just keep reading when you have time.Youll be ok ;)......oh and yeah all you need is a blok off plate to convert that to external wastegate.

I believe it's called an actuator, i don't want to butt in but i don't want the guy to get laughed at by his friend next time he pointed to the "sphere thing with the rod" and told them that's the wastegate.
