Default Mc Master Elbows

I am in the process of making an exhaust mani, equal length full-race style. I have drawn everything up in Autocad, but using the SS 90 deg elbows from Mc Master does not work. They offer short radius elbows in carbon steel, but not in SS. I can make the short radius (1.5) elbows work, but not the SS long elbows (2.25). How are you doing this? Am I missing something?

I think your making it harder than it really is. I dont see how drawing it up on Autocad will help. I think I could Fab up a mani before I could draw it in Autocad
Lots of people use the 2.25" ones you can get them too work .

I am drawing it up because I have some clearance issues. I just want to make sure everything will fit, and how it will fit, before I put the money into it.

The best way would be to tack it together, and modify it until you get it right.
Drawing it won't necessarily show all of the real world limitations of your design (position of oil, coolant lines etc)even if you can make it fit.

I agree you wasting time with autocad. If your have clearance issues I think the autocad would make it even harder. Fabricate it while its on the motor in the car. Just tack weld everything and if it doesn't fit, tack welds can be broken by hand. This is the easiest and most efficient way
