Mazda MX6 Turbo

I have a D15B7 SOHC engine, could I use a turbo off of a 1989 Mazda MX6 for my engine. If so, comments and advice is appreciated.

Pretty much any turbo can work, thats of a resonable size, as long as you can find a way for it to bolt up, etc. As for the turbo, I dont know information on it.

Re:Mazda MX6 Turbo

The turbo id an IHI RHB5, it's a small turbo but will spool quick and work good on a d series engine. Check the projects for this turbo, there's a few guys using it for their setup. If you have one already or can get one really cheap go ahead and use it, you can alway upgrade later if you want more. That's the one i'm going to use. Also, if you check Mazda websites there's away of using a Turbo from an old Ford T-bird and the Turbo from a Mazda MX-6/Probe Gt and do a Hybrid turbo, kind of like a T3/T4, which will use the same exhaust side with the bigger comp side to make more power.

If you use the IHI check out BmC Racing's adapter plates. Hella nice. ;D
