max hp for a block guard??
 
ok im building a d16z6 for a winter project...my goal is 400hp would a golden eagle block guard be safe depending on turbo choice and amount of boost?

People have run over 400hp without one, you'll be fine if it's installed correctly.

blockguards are homo. they suffer from overheating issues. id reccomend block posts that cost only $40 and wont have the overheating issues. you can get some from energy dynamics.

It used to be sort of common, but the newer, better designed block guards over the past few years don't really have overheating as an issue anymore. Mine doesn't overheat at all.

it came with my engine but they go for around $90 new on ebay

tuner toys sells them for about 80 some bux...my buddy has a blockguard on his b and he hasnt had any problems and his car is pushing 400 some odd hp

btw i know you have to have the block guard welded in place the have the block decked...but what do you have to do to have posts put in?..im just curiouse
