Map senor CEL
I swap out map sensor with one that I know works. I have a Fields controller & 310cc injectors which has successfully worked in the past and looks like its working. What else would cause a MAP sensor CEL?

Re:Map senor CEL
i have a 98 ex. i run dsm 450's with a smc(similar to vafc)
when i had it ajusted to -32 or below at 9 psi my map sensor cel would come on. I thought i was barely running rich, i backed it down to -37 and runs way better and no map sensor cel. my a/f gauge now runs mostly stoich, i think it's cause of obd2 and my knock sensor, not sure though. the point is : take it to a dyno with a wide band o2 so you can adjust properly and maybe get a smc, they only cost 120 bucks new. a little hard to adjust thought |
Re:Map senor CEL
good info. I believe I'm running stinking rich. I did this on purpose until I could take it to the local dyno.... then today I found out the local dyno is i baton rouge about 5 or 6 hours away. sucks.

"my a/f gauge now runs mostly stoich" what does this mean?

Re:Map senor CEL
my a/f gauge is probably way off because i check my spark plugs and they're rich. the gauge only goes lean under part throttle when i stomp on it it stays in stoich. before, it read the same way, but may car just bogged because it was set so rich. i think the gauage is very inacurate, and I would like to get a exhaust pryometer

Re:Map senor CEL
So whats a good place A/F gauge to stay at when in WOT? I have 3 red LEDs, 4 yellow LEDs, and 3 green LEDs. Where should it land at in WOT, idling, ect.

Re:Map senor CEL
