map issue

ok so out of no where code 3(map) and 7(TB) poped up. so i disconnected the map and throttle body clips and put em back on. code 7 went away but code 3 didnt. took out the map clip again and put it back on. the code finally went away. but the next day it came back. wtf. did the clip thing again but this time it didnt go away. hooked up my map directly without using checks. still dosent go. checked all the wiring from the vafc and ---- and they seem to be fine. so wtf can be the problem?

Re: map issue

if you have an ohm meter you should test the resistence. it should be in your repair manual, then you can rule out a fuct sensor

you need to get a manual, everyone should have one

Re: map issue

what plugs are you running and what gap? sounds like you could be blowing out spark.....also I would suggest a chipped ecu and a tune very shortly

Re: map issue

tru. ive got bosch 2 pin plugs with the gap they came with. soon im going to get a external coil. about the chiping. man i gave a shot at it but it wasnt a sucess. car never started. cl never went away. soon going to try it again with a stock bin. ill get to chiping wen i get my burner. neways can u guys also giv me the details of a burner that i should get. like what kb and stuff. ne ways the chiping and the plugs thing could cause the car to die in 3rd but y am i still getting that code 3?

Re: map issue

bosch plugs?? 2 pin? first, why arent you running ngks? second, you should be a step colder than stock with a gap between .28-.30 depending on what works best for your setup. you dont need an external coil.....just send your ecu to xeno and for like $45 he can chip it for you and include a basemap to get your car started. its pretty straight forward man......you're making it pretty hard on yourself currently
