Manifold question (very noob question)

Hi HMT,

Need some advise here.. I have a Turbo manifold off my old car ( EG5 civic) and i was wondering if its possible to modify the existing manifold to fit on to my current ride - 06 Kia spectra. Modification as in cutting out the exisiting flange to the engine and re-welding a new engine flange that fits my current ride.

Is it possible or will it just weaken the maniflold

Please advise.

Thanks :D

Have you tried measuring the port spacing to see if the runners will even line up?

If it does, does that means no modification needed? getting excited here :p

Cheers!

No, the bolt holes still won't line up.

If the runners are spaced teh same then you could theoretically just cut the flange off and replace it.

you might be better off selling ur manifold and buying a kit to build ur own. if ur already planning on cutting/welding, then do it that way.
