Manifold question

I have a D16 and plan on using a T25, what manifold style would be better a log or the runner.

Re: Manifold question

Just run whatever is cheapest.Take the money saved and get a bigger turbo.

I have the T25 already, is there a big enough gain going to T3 at 6 - 8 psi

Re: Manifold question

Well there is a gain.If your just looking to run a low boost kit on a daily driver for some more pep than just go with the T25.I ran on my D16 and it was fun around town it spools instantly and is great for getting a jump on people.I ran 10-13psi though.Six is just not enough.A T25 starts to run out of steam at 6500ish rpm and the boost tapers off but a T3 will make a little more power and hold it till redline. For a T3 I was reffering to something like a .42 .48 or 48 60 etc.The smaller ones.I used a HF manifold as it was the cheapest available to me and at low boost with a small turbo the hp diff between a HF or equal length etc is minimal.Good luck and take lots of photos.

Thanks, for now it will be daily driven. At this point the cost between the two styles of manifolds is close. I just finished rebuilding the motor and was hopeing the T25 would provide some fun and maybe suprise some V8's.....

The T25 is great for that.At 12psi it was great for running against local guys in mild setup V8's.It made fantastic low end tourqe and would jump instantly ahead on people as the power band was quite similar to a larger displacement motor. What are you going to run for management?

Right now I have a inline pump and 10:1 fmu, but I would like to switch to Hondata later. Would like to try uberdate but unfortunetly computer programing and me dont get along.

Re: Manifold question

Well the FMU should work.I would get a chipped ecu and get someone good to make you a basemap.Even if you cant find someone local to tune it you would still probably be better off with a basemap.I though the same and i found it wasn't really that hard to learn. You just have to have a little patientce.I am nearly useless with a computer as well.I just learned how to resize a photot a month or two ago.
