Manifold problem?

I just bought a custom made steel manifold (log Type) for my b18c jdm wich I am running a t3 48/60 garrett turbo bot the problem I encountered was the manifold had a t25 flange on it. I have a t3 flange I can weld over it but there will be a little restriction ( 1/2 inch horizontally and 3/8 vertically is this going to be a problem? What should I do? please help. My other option is a brand new ss autoshit manifold which I heard cracks all the time!

Re: Manifold problem?

weld new one on & port, or cut old one off then weld new one on.

Re: Manifold problem?

the turbo has a chimney like box built off the piping that holds the flange and is sized perfectly cant port out much. will this restriction be a problem? If i cut the old flange and chimney off I would have to build a new tunnel or what ever u want oto call it that conneccts the flange to the piping or main log. The material is thick steel And i was told that a mig would not be good enough ( which I have acces to) BUT TO SEND IT TO A MACHINE SHOP AND GET IT DONE .oNLY PROBLEM IS i DONT WANT TO PAY please help!

Re: Manifold problem?

I welded my flange on my first log mani with a cheap $99 wall-mart welder. It totally looked like ass, but I just put a shitload of wire onto/into it until I was satified that it would hold. Never had a single problem with it. Chop that fucker down and weld on what you want.
