Default Making sure I dont over boost? How?

I have been giving a little more gas to my engine after getting the turbo working, and the guage keeps going up quite fast. I don't want to run more then 9psi right now. My wastegate works, I tested it with a compressed air hose, and the threading is really far out, however I cant get the arm to thread either up or down, it seems siezed, although it has been recently painted, it might be the problem. Anyone know a safe way of checking when the wastegate will open so I know I can drive it a bit harder without overboosting the damned thing?

just drive your car close to the air hose and connect the airhose to the wastegate again, no biggy. and make sure you got the hoses on the wastegate connected right.

just watch your boost gauge, if you spike a little over 9 for a few seconds it will be fine. They dont blow up instantly.

yea, close. where you from? so you don't have to take the wastegate back out to test it with an aircompressor by blowing air in it at a certain psi to see when it opens.
