What color is the coolant? Is it still green? Also, is there coolant in the oil?

I had this same problem on a Dodge 2.5L turbo. It sounds like you have a leaky head gasket, its not blown, just leaking a little compression into the coolant. The one we had would do fine on short trips, five miles or so, it would push the coolant into the overflow jug and then suck it back after it cooled down, but on longer trips in would blow it out enough to overheat. Go to Autozone and get a block tester,it is a clear plastic tube that you put over your radiator opening, you fill it with this blue fluid, if there are exhaust gases in your coolant the fluid turns yellow and you need a new head gasket. Autozone will lone you the tool but you may have to buy the blue fluid.
