Depends on turbo size, what your motor will be able to handle, how you're going to tune it, how much real life knowledge you have compared to how much time you wasted making this post instead of doing the necessary research. Research noob, research...then ask real questions later on after you've learned some things

The turbo will either have an internal wastegate or you will need an external wastegate.

Go read the Forced Iduction FAQ's...

Stock B18b block can handle 400HP, I wouldn't personally try to push it without good internals. I would keep it at about 250 with a block guard, just my opinion. I am pushing 240 with no probs yet, and I even push it hard at the track.

Cheers

400? We are talking about daily horsepower, not max horsepower. 300whp is considered the norm for most b-series motors driven everyday. Oh and block guards do nothing, so don't get one of those...

If I remember right, the 12a is even smaller than the 14b...and the 14b on an LS at 14psi will probably net you a grand total of 60-70hp extra over stock 140 form for b18b, or 130 for b18a :P What a waste How do I know? Because I tried a 14b on an LS and netted a mind boggling (sarcasm :P) 209hp @ 14psi. The tdo5h 16g was a slighlty better improvement, but not by too much more. Don't even waste your time...go for a minimum of a large t3.
