Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
i have a d16a6 block, 87 integ rods, z6 head. i was wondering what i could use stock wise to get the lowest compression. i was planning on using my a6 pistons and using a fat head gasket. are a6 pistons the best way to go?
btw, is the hf tranny a better tranny for turbo, or dx crx? the car is a daily driven, freeway only car, and plan to road race it. |
Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
the HF tranny is ----...dont use it...its made for fuel economy...no for anything else...i have one in my crx right now and its for the slow ass engine...use an SI or DX tranny

Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
doesn't the hf have long ass gear ratio wouldn't that make it better for a turboed car my friend has d16z6 in his crx and has the hf tranny i have DA teg b18b1 ls tranny and he is in every gear a hole lot longer than i am and the ls tranny is supposed to be good for turboed car's.

Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
i figured the longer the gear ratio, the more time the turbo has to spool up. isnt this true?

Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
get an aluminum plate machined and weld it to your block.
also the low c/r u go the less low end power your gonna have. so itll be like bog bog bog.. VROOOOOOOOOOOOOm, lame. |
Re:lowest cr w/ stock parts
the HF tranny is just GAY, it ------ makes your car slower! i had one im my car and it made it about a second slower :o
