When did I ever say gm cars were easy to work on? Try doing a lim gasket on a 3400 every 20k miles, not fun. And pretty much every HO gm car Ive seen has ran high 14's to low-mid 15's bone stock or close to it. Pretty much everything you compare it to was boosted, these are N/A. Tell me a bone stock d series can pull high 14's...yea right.

Funny you saying mines gona blow up, Ive seen alot more hondas blow up than quad's, boosted or not; though everyone and their mother has a honda so its more common. The cams do on sit in their own "heads", their called cam carriers/towers. Coil pack, yes its a bad design just because of the heat from the engine which Ive swapped to an external coil setup from a 2.2 ohv. The only things I dont like about these motors are yes the timing cover has to be pulled to do anything motor wise, and the lack of space..but once again, its not a honda.

I suppose your gona tell me ecotecs and LSx's are pieces of ---- as well because their ade by gm?

rExin_you_out 06-29-2009 10:00 PM

no, i dont have to say anything, the numbers in junkyards speak for themselves. domestic ---- is trashfrom the 80s threw the late 90s

dodge has some nice ---- in the 80s though, and ford had the foxy body which was cool. otherwise they where if'y in those years

rExin_you_out 06-29-2009 10:04 PM

i worked a a huge junkyard 3 years, 90% of the imports are crashed or rusted to ---- and old. and there are perfect 2000 such grand ams and ---- cuz they where to shity to resell.

rExin_you_out 06-29-2009 10:07 PM

well maby not to sihty to resell, more along the lines of the parts are more valuable then the car because other peoples break so often.

lol no there parts arent more valuable. HAHAHA stupidest thing i've ever heard. There in the junkyards cuz people buy them and break them and then realize there not worth it to fix them so they pay the junkyard 50bux to get the pos out of there drive way. thats why there's a billion sohc dodge neons in the yard too.

what 4cyl gm runs 14's stock?? definately not a pos beretta or grand prix se gt whatever....the gtp runs like 15.1 stock and thats a supercharged pile of garbage.

Oxide_Zer0yome 06-29-2009 11:14 PM

and yes ecotecs are pieces of ----. Chevy Cobalt SS with an upgraded pulley was completely destroyed by my 5spd stealth w. headers, catback and tune.
