So I have a turbo civic and have a synapse wastegate installed and when I drive the car on my boost gauge its reading below .05 and I want my boost at 8 psi I also don't have a valve seat on my wastegate...could that be the problem? And also for some reason at idle my car is idling just a tad weird going up and down a tad

 

check for vacuum leaks. thats usually the first sign of fluctuating idle.
yes, the wastegate valve seat needs to be installed or the wastegate will be leaking causing no or low boost conditions.

is your engine tuned for boost? if not then your engine will not live long enough to enjoy that 8 psi boost.
