Re:Loud BOV ?
I think i have read that loud ass "Shotgun" sound is from the compressed air going back threw the charge pipe and exiting from the turbo inlet. I have only heard Supras and RX-7's making that loud bang sound.I dunno about a honda

Re:Loud BOV ?
dude thats impossible the turbo would have to be spinning backward for that to happen, and a honda can be louder than a rx7 and supra ... all you need is a bigger turbo (ie more psi and cfm) and a bov with a cone on it like the turboxs rfl.

Re:Loud BOV ?
its not impossible it actually happens quite often....makes a fluttering noise...happens when the bov is set too hard and isnt blowing off enough or soon enough

Re:Loud BOV ?
Type RFL stands for "really ------' loud" ;D

Re:Loud BOV ?
i just put an RFL on my girls 97 gsx...and that fucker is EXTREMELY loud. only thing about it...is that it'll just sound stupid if you arent running at least like 10 psi...so if you're only running about 6psi or so it's not worth it because you wont be moving enough air through it to make the nice loud PSSSSH. thats what i've heard from a couple honda guys anyways...if you're running low boost just go w/ a greddy type S...

Re:Loud BOV ?
It has washers to adjust it. For higher boost you add washers. I think I have three washers in mine and it works well for 10 psi.
