LOTS of random Q's (help)

Hey,
need some help here...

Do I need to run an O2 sensor on a hmt crx? I.e. if I just left the lpug unplugged what would happen?

What are the thread pitch and size of the oil inlet on an ihi rhb5?like npt 1/2" or whatever.

My car didn't smoke before the turbo install but now it pours smoke out the exhaust, i'm running 12:1 fmu( Iknow) is that the problem or shot rings/turbo seals?
it's like a blueish clear color.

How does a "fpr" work? I mean does it limit the amount of pressure that the fmu induces somehow? are there any benifits for running a fpr with and fmu?

thanks for ANY help on these questions.

if your ecu supports an O2 sensor you will get a code 1 and it could make the car run a bit lumpy/rich/lean in closed loop

not sure read the FAQ it may answer this

smell it, does it smell like burning oil? if so then its probably the turbo seals, make sure the oil return is good and gives a free flow of uninterrupted oil back to the sump if thats good then try and throttle the oil suply to the turbo, i think it only needs about 2 bar anyway so you can throttle it quite a lot

---- knows

the best fuel managment for your car would probably be the afc hack and 450 injectors. or u could just run ghettodyne or turbo edit. if ur looking for something cheaper than the afc hack.

Yes, you need to run an o2 sensor.

Not sure about the thread size.

Sounds like the turbo seals. When does it smoke? If it smokes when not in boost, it's probably the turbo. Make sure the drain is big enough and not kinked and check the feed pressure.

The FPR regulates the amount of fuel to be fed back to the tank. The higher you set it, the less fuel gets bled off to the tank., which raises static fuel pressure. It doesn't really work together with an FMU, it raises fuel pressure without boost, but if you have too much fuel pressure at idle it will idle like ---- and run very rich. Think of it like this:
FPR adjusts fuel pressure when out of boost.
FMU adjusts fuel pressure when in boost.

Theres a thread on one of the first pages that says what the ihi rhb5 oil inlet is. If I wasn't lazy I would find it for you.

Yeah, I'm going to switch to a "trailerpark" afc that J.Davis cooked up and some blue top 450"S....then I'm going to ritually sacrifice this FMU to the boost god by way of a hammer.
