looking for a turbo shop in the Midwest
Guys and gals,
I would love to buy and work with a local shop. I live in central MN and have looked on the web for turbo shops around me. All I ever get is CA, Canada, New York and everywhere but around here. The reason why I would like someone somewhat close is incase I need something fast. Rebuild, upgrade, parts, help. I hate paying 60 bucks for nextdays, during a race session. I race 8 weekends in two monthes time and sometimes things go bad. So if you guys know anyone around here with a fair deal on a new garrett and has a good shop that knows something about imports let me know. Randy |

So you're in central MN and you've never been to a meet ??? :P
RS motors is a pretty good one. LSE, DB, there are tons of places around here. |
Re: looking for a turbo shop in the Midwest
NO meets for me. It's hard to drive a welded diff on the street. It's a trailer queen I guess. Those are all shops that work on cars, I don't think any of them balance, mod, rebuild turbos.

Re: looking for a turbo shop in the Midwest
Diesel performance/specialties in bloomington I think. Not sure on teh name or location. It is in the south metro though. That is pretty much the only hardcore turbo rebuild place, you can even buy a brand new garrett turbo, for 2x the online price, but they have it in stock 365

www.dieselcomponentsinc.com
Diesel Components, Inc. 952-890-2885 Located in Burnsville, MN. I stopped by the other day to pick up a gasket and they were friendly and had plenty in stock. |

Re: looking for a turbo shop in the Midwest
I think you guys helped me a lot. Buy turbo from Blaast, then have work done at the Diesel Components, Inc. I will call down to the diesel shop and make sure they know the turbo I'm buying. I am done with OEM ----, yes you can make power, yes they can live a long time, they suck to buy parts-flanges and crap for. Upgrades to oem stuff is big $$$$
