looking for smaller turbo, and CA emission laws

Hi,

I'm planning to install a smaller turbo on my car, D15b 93 civic cx. I would like something that spools quick, cause i will be autoX the car.
was wondering what you guys suggest.

Also, I was wondering if you guys knew about the CA emissions laws for having homemade turbo setups. Is there a way to pass the emissions, and also the visual.

Thanks for your time, and help

wow, such cruelty LOL. you guys haven't changed a bit. CA = most emission laws ever. no hmt, no turbo in cars that didnt come with it, not even a filter. you wont ever pass smog with a turbo kit on, and you most defffinatly will get sent to refs every time u get pulled over. either dont be a bitch, or take the punishment if u get caught. its worth it tho, can't live life without boost.

IF YOU LIVE IN CALIFORNIA YOU SHOULD KNOW THE RULES ALREADY. MAKE FRIENDS WITH A SMOG TECH OR RIP YOUR ---- OUT EVERY 2 YEARS AND SLAPON A STOCK MANIFOLD

Stock D15b8? 8 valve, 70hp?

Well this would be the perfect setup for turbo and auto-x.
Pull that complete motor/tranny, wrap it and store it. Save this for smog every 2 years.

Drop whatever you want and HMT it. Put a carb sticker in case you get pulled over.
If you do get a ticket for the turbo (like I did before the sticker) you will have to either 1)pay huge fee or 2)visit the ref.
I didn't want to pay $300 so I chose to visit the ref. I put the car back to stock and only had to pay $11.
Even with a d15b8 in the DX & 2 cats, they didn't say anything!

For a legal swap, get your car registered with it by the state ref.
For a legal turbo kit, get the corresponding greddy/edelbrock to that motor/year.

Any way you go, it's a hassle here.

If you live in Kalifornistan you need to rise up and overthrow the eco weenies!!! Why this state gets special powers to dictate more rules on its people than any of the others I will never understand.
