looking for a DP gasket

i need one for my T3 internal wastegate turbo. it's the 3 bolt pattern.

the only place i've found one is on cheapturbos.com/phoenixturbo.com but i cant seem to get a reply back from them about shipping and such.

is there any other place which sells them?

thanks,

Jonathan P.

Is this a flat surface flange to flange or is it cupped? I don't even use a gasket on mine but its similar to a 5 bolt(mind is 7 bolt), I just used copper spray gasket maker ha.. no leaks..

after about a 30 minutes of searching i figured the best bet is to use that copper stuff.

thanks,

hahaha dude, thats the worst flange ever in terms of leaks. most auto parts stores sell reinforced exhaust gasket material that you can buy by the square inch. I had such problems with my gaskets leaking, bolts coming loose, stripping the housing, that I just welded that Flange right to the wastegate housing. now, all i have to do to remove my downpipe is undo the wastegate and unbolt the five big fat strong bolts for the wastegate housing. No leaks, cause thers a bigger 'contact patch'. Works perfect. It's what I'd recomend you do if you have any problems at all with leaks and such.

Those shitty composite gaskets dont work.... their a quick fix, but after a few month they burn out and it starts leaking,

Your best bet is to make one yourself with some sheet metal, trace the flange, cut out the center with a hole saw, drill the bolt holes out, then with a rubber mallet flaten your new gasket on an anvil or other flat surface.

That is probably your best solution, unless you want to keep replacing those cheap vatozone gaskets.

You can get brass sheet metal at a RC hobby shop, this is what I use, it comes in various thicknesses, this stuff is cheap too, cut out your gasket and use copper spray in it and I guarantee it will never leak.

ps: A good thing about this stuff is that copper is a soft metal, so it will mould to any imperfections in the metal flanges that you may not see.

Re: looking for a DP gasket

I"ve had copper gaskets melt on me.

and if you want a cheap gasket material, just use a old liscence plate.

but i'd seriously recomend just welding that flange to the wastegate housing.
