I'd like to see how this runs. We swapped a 98 DOHC in my friends 95 SOHC and he want to boost but is worried about he 9.6:1 comp in the DOHC. He has a mani and a t3 from a Benz 300D with srt injectors.

9.6:1 compression ain't ----, boost it!

yeah 9.6 to 1 isnt that much when i do my setup im getting forged internals and im going with 10 to 10.5 to 1 compression it makes more and with a good tune absolutely no problems

We actually did a head swap from sohc to dohc on so im not sure if the comp is still 9.6 but that would be nice, my focus comp is 10.2 and it runs like a champ so im not woried.

I doubt it, I think the dohc on the sohc gives you less. The sohc pistons are flat and the dohc head would give you a larger combustion chamber. So if the sohc is 9.8:1, drop .5 for the difference in pistons/chambers and you should have a compression of 9.3:1 I strongly believe. Still good for boost.

The compression actually drops to 9.5:1 with the DOHC head.
