Default Little problems with my HMT setup

I finnaly finished my car. I posted some pics on the general forum. Everything went fine, no major problems. There's only a few problems that I saw after running the car last night.
1. There is an oil leak from the feed line, I kinda knew it would happen, I had to tighten the fitting more but the adapter plate was on the way and I did not want to take everything appart.
2. I think there's a boost leak somewhere It's only boosting 4 or 5 psi.
3. I did not have a hasket for the turbo to adapter plate connection, so I got some cork gasket material, the guy told me it would hold the heat. Well, it's burning off. I think someone here before said you could make one with like a sheet metal?? Anyways the factory one is made of metal so I will try that.
4. Greddy Type S BOV, it has two little lines on the side, one bigger than the other, the ones on the left side. Should both of those be connected to a vacuum line

5. And finally how do you adjust it, the BOV, I lost the little sticker that goes on the top, to what side is it harder and what side softer?

Thanks HMT for everything, I've been coming to this website for years now, before the forums where here, and finnally got my car running, but I'm not done, I have lots of other plans, upgrades for the car. And I'm glad to say I did it all myself and did not pay anyone to work on my car, and thanks to all of you, I know it was done right.

Until it blows
Anyways Thanks
and yeah sorry for the long posts but I'm just too excited
David

4.Just hook vacuum up to the one on the left as pictured.
5.Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey... turn the screw in to make it tighter and turn it out(loosen it) to make the BOV release with less pressure

2. could be your bov, when it doesn't get boost on the low pressure side it can leak.

Thanks for the quick ones.
on the BOV left side there's 2 possible ports, the bigger one on the left side like you said, I have that one connected, but the other one pointing down, which you can't really see on the picture it looks like a blurry light, should it be connected also to vacuum,

Yeah, that's what I thought just making sure man, thanks

Makes sense, Whe I get home from work, I'll try that, I'll adjust it a little. I know that after running the car I checked the BOV screw and it was very very loose, so that could be it, it's leaking boost.
Thanks Again
Anything else

do you think this would work for the gasket

from the home depot 24" X 36". Can be cut-to-size for any application. 30-gauge galvanized steel. it's only $6.00

Yeah i hooked up my type s to the top one as well. As far as the gasket i used some type of high temp silcone they use for mufflers. No leaks at 10psi. Hope it helps.I think it cost 8.00 for a tube. :P

Ok I have a silicone that is for exhaust manifolds, I think it said it holds up to 700 degrees, Is that enough?
I'll try that, if it doesn't work I'll just fix it later.

I am almost positive that you are losing boost from the BOV not being hooked up. It needs the positive pressure to keep it closed tight under boost conditions. Just hook it up to the open line you have pictured.

I like my type s.

Ok I tightened the oil line and tried the heat resistant silicone and it seemed to work, ran it yesterday and had no oil leaks or exhaust leaks, that problem it's solved, But it's still running 5psi. I believe the stock setting for the IHI Rhb5 from a mazda is 8psi. I have to triplecheck the BOV and my intercooler piping to make sure everything id fine. Either way it feels great and sounds good. The problem with the BOV right now is that I'm not sure If what I hear is the BOV or if it is the turbo spooling. I tried to mess with the settings on it but it got to late and I had to work today, so I'll check it tonight again.
thanks for the help
