Default list of turbo parts

ok, i got a 93 civic hatch, i'm gonna swap a b16A into it, i also want to put a turbo on it, but i'm on a tight budget so i can't afford to buy a complete kit, i've heard u could just piece together your own kit for fairly cheap, so can someone please give me a shopping list of turbo parts i need so i can piece a kit together off ebay and junkyards and such, thx for any help

my suggestion is...buy a turbo of your choice(hell i cant even pick out a turbo for my future setup), tial wastegate, BOV of your choice, and the flanges. go out and buy a $400 mig welder and do the rest your self. you will also need to buy a Front Mount intercooler..and some oil lines and such but you could save yourself a ridiculous amount of money if you weld most of it yourself. a manifold is easily $300-500 which is pretty much the welder. then the intercooler lines will be of a much higher quality if they are welded instead of the bullshit cuplings. and running a full 2.5-3" exhaust from the turbo...---- if you dont have any emmissions you can do the job for $150 and that would be a pretty damn expensive job otherwise. thats my suggestion
Prices based on buying off the internet
Turbo=$300-500
Tial Waste gate 35mm= $220
BOV=about $200
Mig welder=$400
Exhaust manifold=$300-$1300
FMIC=$350
IC piping=$80
Exhaust=$600+
Boost Gauge=$50
EGT+probe=$130-150
POD for gauges=$30-50
Clutch=$300-500
injectors=$50-400
FMU=$4-500 for hondata + $250+ for tuning
or Uberdata is $100 for chip burner. $350 for wide band 02. plus about $20 for the chips.
OR!!!!! FMU 10.1 $100 about. S vac Hack $350-400

Turboing is cheap isnt it?

thx alot for the info, i guess i can't really ask for a better answer than that, but i added that up minus the welder and its still over 2500, and the full kits i saw online were 2500 or less, i thought u could put a kit together yourself for much cheaper?

a kit isnt clutch, gauges, exhaust. and by piecing it together you can get it cheaper...i put on the top"this is the price of buying the stuff online"...which means everything is new...or thats what i meant to say. used intercooler and a used BOV and wastegate can save you some money. i personally dont prefer buying used turbos, but that is what this site is formed on...so i mean if you read the entry saying "checking if turbo is good"...you can go to a junk yard and try to grab a turbo off a car...but ----...$2500 for all the ---- i named...thats damn good.

Just keep reading the site and you will get the hang of it in no time. You can peice together a junkyard turbo kit for dirt cheap if your patient enough to search and wait for good deals. Factory turbo cars are your friend.

My friend, I believe your prices are way off the mark...

Turbos can be had for 1-300
BOV can be had for 30-200
Exhaust Manifolds can be bought for 200 and up
FMIC can be bought for as low as like 20-100 and batched up to work, or could be bought for like 300
Exhaust, come on this is a DIY site, I completed a great exhaust for like 100-150

Your other prices i can't compare because i haven't checked out those prices...

I think y'all are way too far out of controll. this is my price kit for decent setup:

t3 turbo new with internal wastegate no need for a tial wastegate,$290 ebay,
manifold, $250 ebay, dont get stailess steel
fmic $250 customcoach,
piping/hose/clamps,$115 custoncoach
,bov dsm $50 ebay/dsm trader,
injectors dsm 450cc $50, ebay/dsm trader
walbo 255lph intank fuel pump $100 ebay
apexi vafc $250 ebay
downpipe, exhaust shop $80 include piping flanges.]
oil feed/return kit,$80 HMT ,ebay
boost guage, autometer $45 summit
a/f guage, autometer $70 summit
oil pressure guage optional, $45 summit
apexi timer $100 ebay
guage pod tripple $57 summit
total> $1502+ sh about $100

do all the work yourself after you research to see how it works and how to put it togheter, I think this list is dead on, because thats my setup, it took me a while because I started with ghetto stuff. a cheaper management would be vortech FMU,$120 + missing link $60 ebay, minus the vafc, pump, and injectors, but a lot of people dont recomend it, you will find out why later. hope this help you more.
