liquid cooled turbo

I have a liquid cooled turbo and was wondering if it used necessary to run the coolant throughit or if I could eliminate that.

I've seen them run without coolant if they have an adequate supply of oil - but unless this is an air cooled engine, I see no reason to leave it out. You can always use the heater supply and return hoses for the coolant.

Yeah I'm putting a turb on my Harley and o have a almost new Garrett turbo but it's liquid cooled. I had planned on using a oil cooler on the oil feed line to keep the oil cooler. I just don't want to ruin my brand new motor with a turbo blowing up and going through it. Thank You .

You might want to check with Garrett, but this will probably work.

Water cooling is for when the engine is turned off hot. Let the engine do a cool-down like you're supposed to and it won't be a problem to get rid of the water system.
