Forced Induction Custom FI Setup Questions

Default LiL Help

I am planning on boosting My JDM B16(all stock) in a 90 Si hatch. Here is what is planned so far... T3 turbo with internal WG attached and mani of course... a/r's not sure on which yet(suggestions Welcome)... Decent intercooler(long & short preferrably)... Some type of BOV (suggestions welcome)... charge piping, is there a difference between mandrel bent piping and exhaust piping?? can i use either or??... I will be using FMU at first then goin to bigger injectors and S or V/afc(suggestions welcome)... Oh and im only going to be running around 8-10psi... Any ideas or guesstimates on 1/4 times and hp #'s?? I think thats about it, if i have missed anything let me know and i'll fill you in.. Thanx alot for the help guys...

Ok well to answer your first question? I would suggest a 42/48 t3 turbo for you... you wont have any lag really and the top end is still great. #2 For intercooler if you want a long and short one you should go with a tyrus intercooler... a starion will get you by as well.. but i dont know how short is short for you. #3 Bov all depends on your budget.. even the dsm eclipse one sounds descent and they will only run you about 30$ or go with a Greddy/hks/blitz if you can find one for cheap. #4 Mandrel bent means the way the piping is bent.. its not necessarily a certain material.. you can use whatever piping you want.. #5 if you can afford to just wait off for ur v afc and injectors b4 you do the install... might save your motor... 10psi is a little high to run a fmu with as ur injectors may explode... no guarantee but i would go that high. My guestimate is your stock motor on 7 psi with fmu will make about 200hp with vafc maybe 220ish. Your 1/4 should be in the high 13's

8psi is what ill prolly be doing... And high 13's? it already runs mid-low 14's, 220 hp would be fine with me though hehe...

88 Turbo Crx is pointing you in the right direction, and you REALLY want Mandrel bent as apose to Crush Bent.

any who, i think you should go with a Spearco intercooler
