I bought this intercooler for 15 $, the core is in good shape ( dirty ) but the intercooler is curved as you can see on the picture. So, should I leave it like that, or try to fix it ? and how ?

PS: I know, it's big ( 24x12x3 ) and kind of overkill for my setup .. but 15 $ try to beat that loll

 

Stick it up your *** and do jumping jacks. Should straighten it right out.

 

if you cant fit a hoseclamp around it securely then chop it off with a sawzall and have someone weld on a 2.5" aluminium pipe. it looks like its cracked inside so it might leak.

 

For the inlet I'll cut and weld an other, I'm talking about the curve in the intercooler itself, you can see it pretty easy on the pic

mmm let me think, the core is in good shape, there's not hole, it works and it was 15 $ The curve doesn't affect anything, it not big enough, but if I can fix it I will, if not, I'll use it anyway.

 

can you clamp it to a bench somehow, maybe you can straighten it up with some straps and a pipe, looks like it was in an accident, hopefully its not cracked.

if it were me and its definate the core is fine just have someone weld a new outlet on it then run some boost through it
