lean while cruising
is it safe for my a/f to go to lean, and the timer volts to 20v, while driving behind a slow car, like say I'm rolling down the highway, boosting in the rich, suddenly I have slow down because car in front of me not going the speed limit so I have to drive slow, but my fuel gauge dont get rich unless I am wide open, my setting are 1000=-25%,the rest is set at -35% for high and low

Re:lean while cruising
when you take your foot off the gas pedal completely the ecu makes the engine go lean to help engine braking.
if you go light throttle (cruising, not coasting) it should read stoich. |
Re:lean while cruising
if I have my foot slightly on the pedal I will read lean, if I floor it still slow, I read rich, this usually happen when I'm driving behind someone trying not to hit them.

Re:lean while cruising
just dont be lean at WOT.
all i can say. |
Re:lean while cruising
WOT I'm at 14.5V on the timer, and rich on the A/F guage, so I guess this is not really a problem then?

Re:lean while cruising
Your probalby fine..the a/f gauges are only good for when you are at WOT.
To be absolutley sure you need to get the thing on a dyno with a wide band o2 |
