Last min. ls/vtec build ?s
Alright, things are starting to go somewhere now. here is the setup so far. i tore apart the DA after all the bullshit, so now something new.
b18b Block (40k mi.) Fully stock bottom end gsr oil pump gsr water pump gsr timing belt b16a Head dual valve springs chromoly retainers full cleaning and valve job ys1 stock tranny Earls ls/vtec kit Cometic head gasket to4e .50/.63 rev hard log/tube hybrid cast manifold old school tial w/g old greddy bov old hks intercooler chipped and tuned on chrome Planing on running 9 lbs, trying to figure out if i am missing anything. also, trying to figure out if i should run my ecu at Rev limit 7500/shift 7200/vtak 4450 or something different, so far, it looks good to me. |

What is the stock vtec crossover for a b16? I would think that would be the best to set it at, although with boost I'm really not sure.
Good luck with it though. Why are you sticking with the stock bottom end? |

i ran crossover at 5500 and an 8200 rev limit. With the vtec oil and water pumps you can rev it out, the stretching rod bolt thing is horse ----. Usually shift at 7500+ as long as you shift it quick enough to stay above the 5500 crossover.

Yeah, one year when my LS-VTEC build is done I plan on just keeping it at the stock b16 crossover and revving to around 8000.
Most of the reason it'll take me so long is because I'm going to go ahead and do every part I want now instead of tearing it down later |
