Default knocklink

Anyone actually used one and has an honest opinion as to how usefull / reliable it is? I'm not thinking as a tuning aid, but as a warning device when something isn't as it should be...

I've always found my ears to be as reliable as a knocklink but for those who don't tune cars every day I think it's a worthwhile investment. Just make sure the knocklink is set up and installed correctly.

When hackish was in my car and I spun a bearing, the knocklink didnt register f.a lol. But then again its looking for hz so im thinking the boshe sensor im using isnt tuned for my 1.6l. On my suby it worked great. I say go for it, no harm in it, and they arent expensive.

Your bearing was spun because of the failed oil pump not because of any pinging or other cylinder events.
