So, I'll be putting a KKK K03 Turbo on my Civic (it's from VW Passat 1.8 T or Audi A4 1.8 T)..and I want to know, should I put a oil restrictor to my oil feed (for cooling the turbo)....cause, KKK K03 is not a ball bearing turbo, I'm having doubts...'cause of this link :

Thats turbo is really little. You needed to do my research before doing anything, a oil restrictor does as it sounds. It restricts oil flow to the turbo.

 

So, I'll do a little research, but, if it's not a ball bearing turbo, does it need a oil restrictor?

go ahead and waste time installing that tiny shitty *** turbo. those things are only efficient to 12 psi, or about 150 whp. you're just going to turn it into a giant restriction at anytihng over 4000 rpm.

 

It'll spool fast and yeah it will be fun if its ur first setup. yes use a restrictor. where's the ****?

I have got a 1.6 GTD VW golf. its a Garret .42 the turbo is also used on a audio 80.

I also had to use a ristrictor. I have a 1,5 mm ristricor and it works fine. without the ristrictor the oil was comming out of the turbo.

I used this machine ( i dont know the english word for it)

the turbo is small, mine spools @ 3000 rpm till 5500
just as i expected. i used this turbo because i got it for Free.

and thats the DIY style Free, or lowbudget
