just turbo'ed now smoke??????

i just put on my turbo and i am getting what looks like blue smoke. it would only smoke a little during full throttle before boost but now any throttle over 40% will give me a crap load of smoke. i plan on doing a comp test tonight but what else could it be?
im using a stealth mode oileline kit with restrictor closed just a little

How's your oil return line? Any funny bends or kinks? Also, was this turbo used? Could be bad seals in the turbo :-\

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

oil is pushing pass your seals when in boost. if you get a oil restrictor your problem might go away. stevemode sells them for cheap.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

how can i check if it is blowing by the seals???

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

sorry, i read that post wrong. if there isnt oil in the pipes, your seals are good.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

i havnt checked the exaust side yet for oil
i now have a oilleak at the oilpan?? could this be caused by the pvc being hooked up still???

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

without seeing a pic of your plumbing i can only guess. if your pvc is hooked to the charge pipe, thats your problem right there.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

yeah, leaving the PCV valve hooked up is bad mmkay.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

i talked to turbo technologies and they said that my turbo has no oil seals to blow just a piston style ring. im retarted my pvc is still hooked to the intake manifold. im fixing that tonight and im pulling the turbo to check for oil in the exaust side.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

try just unhooking the pcv and take a run. you might have a ---- eating grin of relief. purely for the sake of saving wrech time taking the turbo off and on.

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????

i had to pull the downpipe so i could replace teh oilpan gasket. the turbo was not leaking. i disconected the pvc so i will see how that works tommorow

Re: just turbo'ed now smoke??????
