98 Single can v-tec in cx bubble. Probe turbo(IHI rb05) probe bov, front mount intercooler 12:1 Fmu, missing link, ngk v-power plugs, stock 240cc injectors, and open headers until down pipe in welded.. It boosting between5&6lbs on boost gauge, spools up quick, I also have fuel pressure regulator and s-afc but not installed yet. Any suggestions on stability and air-fuel setup....Thanx in advance

I didnt mean to say open headers but there is no down pipe on manifold

So are you running open downpipe (no exhaust after the DP) or nothing off the exhaust housing of the turbo?

nothing off exhaust housing, I have no down pipe at all..... What do u think about FMU and do I need tuning and is it stable with wahts on

i think you need to try doing a little research before diving into a turbo install.

^^^what they said. Read read read. And maybe try using something like uberdata for management, which would require an obd conversion. Although, you could probably be pretty safe with a small turbo like that. I ran that one before the 14b I'm doing now. And if you need a flange for that exhaust housing to connect up an exhaust, I have one I can sell to you cheap. Assuming you have the standard 3 bolt triangle flange...so to sum it up, you should be safe with your setup but I have never read of someone actually being happy with having an fmu for long.

i would get something in there as a downpipe, even if its ghetto as ----. Im pretty sure its not too good for the turbo to be run like that... but then again, your are using an fmu so you obviously dont care much about your motor OR the turbo
