Default Just got turbo rebuilt

I just got my turbo rebuilt and I upgraded to

watercooling
360 degrees Thrust bearing
Stage 3 turbine wheel
Step gap turbine seal

Ok so when I got it back, I hooked it all up except, I don't have the lines for the water yet. I just hooked it up like I orginally had it, and the guy who rebuilt my turbo said this would be fine. I ran it when I first got it back and the turbo was not spining at idle, then after driving it for awhile it started to spin. Then I noticed that there was oil on my front cross member and I was thinking noooo... So I looked at the water outlet hole and there is oil residue in it ..... but then I was thinking maybe its just my return line leaking... Can oil leak out of the water outlet hole on the turbo

If it was a defective rebuilt could it ... Or is it even possbile for oil to be leaking from there,? due to a failure. Becaause the only other thing I think it could be is oil from my return line is splashing up.

like he said its 2 diff jackets, the only way it "could" leak there is if the turbo is cracked from the inside,,,

but not spinning at idle? thats not a good sign.,..

no its just a little tight most new turbos are rebuilt a little snug so that over time it will wear a little bit and leak or create to much shaft play however if it was difficult to spin by hand when it was just rebuilt that would cause concern imo

As for turbof22a, Looks like you need to learn how to not talk %&!@!. Does that make you feel good? reguardless that was a unessarry comment. What statment did I make to lead you to think I dont know how to install a turbo? Just because I have not messed with the internals on the inside? People come here for help and to learn and if they use the search and can't find something then there is nothing wrong with asking a question.

Been comming here for along time and support HMT all the way.... If it was not for this site I Would not know what I do know been coming here for 6 years didn't jeff the owner say "I have designed this site to help others in making their cars go faster for less money." Putting people down isnt helping

i talk ---- because most of the questions on here are so ------- rediculous the retards need a good ---- talking just to **** them off enough to search for answers the next time they decide to ask a question. stupid questions like "what can you tell me about the 16g" will yeild a ---- talking because information about that turbo is all over the internet. i also post answers to people who have real questions that need to be answered, but when you aks a stupid question you will get a stupid responce most of these new people need to go back to honda-tech
