My parents had a party a few weeks ago. One of there friends showed up in a brand new silver S2000. I told him he couldn't park in the driveway and I would have to move it for him (he just laughed). I don't think my parents telling him I just recently got a speeding ticket helped either. >:(

It's proly a good idea I didn't drive it though because I would have wrecked it or got another speeding ticket. ;D

Think of it this way....

AEM Intake: $250+
Good exhaust: $700+
Good header: $350+
VAFC: $300

Total for all this is $1600 for maybe a 35-50 hp gain at the wheels, but for another 1200 you can have a decent turbo setup making maybe 100-120 extra horse at the wheels, plus you'll never run into a million other cars just like yours.

you should turbo it my friend has one and it so ------- fast but its all custom tublar manifold, t3/t4, front mount, e-manage, and the list goes on but he did it all him self so it didn't cost him any where near what it should.

My uncle has had one for awhile, he sells Hondas in California, so he gets a few deals. He had Comptech do everything for his car so far (they only deal with Hondas and Acuras). New exhaust, and a supercharger...couple other things too but I don't remember. The blower gave him 100 more HP! 340HP from a 2.0! It's awesome. The kit will run about 5000 bucks I think though. But hey, if you can afford an s2000, why not? Heh.

With an s2000 you might need to worry about warranty and stuff like that. That wouldn't be the cheapest motor to ---- up and replace. BE CONSERVATIVE. IMO

Nitrous for sure !!! If it blows up, take the nitrous off the car, call the dealership and say " my girl friend was getting on the interstate and it just stopped she said ". What can they say...

:-\

for a blown up s2k motor they will do some research on what happened and figure that one out. Also the tapped plugged hole in the intake might give it away? :)

Re:just got a s2000,what mods should i do?

That's why you use an after market intake/filter and when it blows up, you slap the factory deal on.

What is the dealer going to figure out ? unless your using a 175shot, its not going to blow the rods out the side of the block or anything. It not like nitrous leaves its fingure print inside the motor. THey have to prove that it blew up b/c of nitrous, and them saying " you had nitrous on this car", isn't proof.

When you hit them with the "girlfriend was driving it" story that eliminates a lot of the "was he racing it" worries.

More than likely an S2000 could handle a 100 shot all day, if its installed correctly then its not too much different that adding 100hp with a S/C.

If the motor were to "blow-up" it would likely just kill the ring lands on the pistons or blow a head gasket.

Even better, go into the dealer pissed off b/c "honda's sports car blew up on you, while you had a very important clinet with you on the way to a businuss dinner".

A knew a guy that got 3 motors outta GM. He had a 150 shot on a 5-speed Z-24. The car was fast as hell, but finally after the 3rd motor GM said "no", then he sold the nitrous.

Re:just got a s2000,what mods should i do?

rear diff is supposidly weak
so is the clutch

might have a look in replacing those w/ race worthy components.

exhaust on the rsx, s2k, new si supposedly flows really nice, the intake side is restrictive...

just repeating what i've read from the magizines.
