Just Boost Gauge?
I've been thinking and an a/f gauge doesn't do much unless you have a wideband right? I have no clue what an EGT does other than measure gas temperatures... So If I use a boost gauge to make sure I'm not boosting some insane amnount(around 6-7psi) and I just start out with a fully retarded ignition and slowly advance it...with a fuel pressure gauge to make sure I'm getting fuel(fmu), should I be alright? Or is this the making of a disaster? I know a guy in town that has a turbo civic and he can help me listen for detonation and whatnot.

Re:Just Boost Gauge?
an egt reads exhaust gas temperatures, which, the hotter they are, the leaner you are, your engine runs hot in a lean condition. i'm not sure i understand the question though, are you just asking if you can use an fmu and nothing else, well the answer is yes, you just can't boost too much.
