ok so i'm pissed that i have to ask this, but i searched and got 2 different answers.
i'm hooking up the hoses to my wastegate. there is a nipple on the top and on the side.
i know the side goes to the turbo or intercooler pipe, the top is left open if you are not using a boost controller.

i'm using a mbc do i hook it to the top nipple or inline with the side one?
i've read that the mbc goes to the side and a ebc goes to the top and i've read that any bc goes to the top.
now the crappy pic on tial's website is this
Attachment 18554
right now i have it set up just like it shows

top - mbc - tee
side to a tee meeting up with top then to my j-pipe
i would take a pic of what i have, but i'm not home. just want to make sure this is right

don't be pissed. You can do both:

-MBC inline on the side port to create a boost leak on the signal line.

or

-inline on the top port, to add "some" boost to the top side of the diaphragm.

Both ways have the same effect of increasing the boost pressure needed to make the WG open.

ok so what i have is good then.
i have the side port going to the j-pipe and the top port going to a mbc with that line tee'd into the side port.

i've been running a home depot MBC on my 38mm TiAL for over a year... i'm just running the source to the FPR and that hose to the ball side of the valve, then the outlet on the valve to the port on the side of my TiAL... i have the fitting for the top of the WG with a short 6" piece of hose hooked up going to nothing, so ---- doesnt get inside... ---- you buddy, if you understand how a MBC or WG works, you WILL understand how to hook it up ::)
but you cant say i didnt awnser your question i guess... i've also read that you really only hook up an EBC to the top port... seems that if you hooked up a MBC as pictured, you would actually loosen to increase boost... seems kinda stupid that way.

i said along time ago i don't know ---- about turbos, i never pretend that i do.
i do however search for ---- before i make a thread and i found 2 different answers. so i was asking if what i did was right.
also i'm running a homedepot mbc on my tial style wastegate O0

yup, run the MBC between charge piping and the port on the SIDE of the WG, ball side of MBC will have pressure GOING to it, the other side that will not have pressure under low boost will go to WG as to limit boost to WG...

like this, minus the BOV/"T" and ----...
once again, just to remind you
YOU FAIL!

you now hardcore fail X1328
an internal gate works the same ------- way, just without a long ass actuator rod!... imagine instead of an internal gate in the pic, you just hook it up to the side port on the WG... you fail
