I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler 4.0. I installed a T3/T4 turbo with an inter cooler, external wastegate, BOV, 30lb injectors the whole nine yards. I am also using a AEM FIC. The problem is I am not building any boost. I know I don't have it tuned right yet but I can only manage 3 lbs of boost. Does anybody have any ideas on fuel maps and MAP sensor mapping? Why no boost?

what it sounds like is your waste gate is not letting you build boost. what spring are you running? also it looks like in your pic that you have your pressure lines to the waist gate are backwards.

 

I am not really sure what spring is in there. I thought the guy said it was a 6lb wastegate. So the bottom line goes to the manifold and the top one to the turbo?

 

WOW! That did it. Thanks Thumpn! 12lbs of boost now. Runs a lot better too.Still looking for some help on the MAP sensor mapping. Transmission has no idea whats going on.

 

Sorry i cant help you with the mapping Iam not familliar with AEM programming, I used Split second for my wrangler.

 

the hose barb on top of the wastegate is just a vent. no hose should be connected to it unless its vented to the atmosphere.
