JB Weld to patch leaks..

Of course, my stupidly designed adapter plate leaks exhaust through the counterbored bolts.

First question, if I JB Weld the holes, will they hold up to the pressure and heat? Second question, if I ever need to take it apart, how does one break it out? Drill it? Chip it? What?

did you use a gasket?
if not ithink you need to.

maybe that'll fix it.

but yeah, I think JB weld can plug up your holes.

Yes, I used a gasket.

If anyone who actually knows what I'm talking about would reply, I would appreciate it, thanks.

Oh william, do you have a flawed Gary and Randy Plate as well?

JB weld wont hold up to those kinds of temps, and will probably melt off, But if you do go to your local automove store, you will find they have similar products (high temp epoxys) that you could fill the allen heads of the bolts.

As far as un-assembling the mother fucker... well ----, After the heat hits that stuff up, and forms a few times, might be a bastard to chip it out of their, and if you were to drill it, that would ---- your allen head up. Its worth a shot though.

Had the same problem with my first set up. It leaked even though I had the gasket, so I went to a log style manifold for my new set up. If not just have some studs welded in it.

No Gary and Randy plate, but I had a similar style designed by myself.

It boosts perfectly. I've raped my clutch in the short time it's been on. I'm just "fine tuning" for quicker spool, and better flow. Not to mention that obnoxious sound coming from the leak making my engine sound like it might be broken.

Anyway.. off topic, I "ran into" someone at the first autoX today that actually posts on this board. I didn't get his handle, but he seemed pretty impressed with my setup as we darted around the stadium. ;)

Well, time for the Stage 3 to go back in and start snapping axles.

the 14b wastegate actuator blows ass hole, thats why you are spooling slow..

Everyone I have ever had always made the turbo feel laggy.

Spring setup.. spring setup!

I heard this quote the other day "homemadeturbo is dead, check out http://forum.driftkids.com"

JB weld has a temperature tolerance of 600 degrees F. its great for patching ---- up. i made the mistake of using it to "------ rig" my headgasket. no laughing please.

Hopefully you heard that a day after you took HMT down, because that's when it was said. When I was running phpBB with Christina's phat theme and HMT "mirror". But, that has long since changed since I've been cast out from HMT...
