Turbo: 14b for the record

Ok so I bought a Stealthmode oil line kit a few years ago and had the ---- in storage until the beginning of the summer when I got off my ass and started building the motor. When I got to my oil lines I was confused by a few things. The oil drain gasket included with the kit had the bolt holes spaced too far apart (like a 1/2" or so) which kind of bothered me, but I didn't use the thing and used high temp silicone instead, it's been holding up. Now on the oil feed side of the turdblo I could only find one fitting to fit both the turbo and the line. When I screwed it into the turbo something seemed off. The thing didn't thread in right, had some weeble wobble and was overall ------- gay (at about this point I'm thinking "Hmmm this looks like the wrong feed and drain setup... Oh well I'll make it work!). So what do I do? I wrap 20 layers of teflon tape around it and mash it in. All was good. Last night I decided to fix my ------- queer alternator problem and replace it with a new one. While doing so I didn't realize I had my feed line between the bracket and the alternator. So instead of taking the ------- pain in the ass alternator off I unscrew my feed and pull it back on top of the alternator. When I go to screw the feed back in the ------- fitting is trashed. Now what I want to know is what is the bolt size and thread pitch on the feed side to this ------- 14b turbo, where can I get a fitting (because nowhere in Winchester or Harrisonburg has ---- for metric fittings) that fits this ------- thing, how much will it be and how long will it take? I've biked all over Harrisonburg looking for shops. I searched the phonebook for a chopper shop that might possible sell metric banjo bolts with flare ends on them. Help a fucker out. I just ------- JB Welded the feed in there a few minutes ago, but I need a real solution. A solution that doesn't involve me hanging myself, ------- myself, drinking bleach, etc. I need a real solution.

Look up hydraulic shops. There is one local to me that made me a whole new feed line for my rhb5. Also I know some napa auto parts here in the Seattle area make hydraulic lines. Just take the banjo/turbo setup to them, and im sure thay can rig something up. Just my .02

Since its a mitsu turbo, its probably the same as a greddy 18g. I broke my banjo bolt for that turbo and ordered a new one from summit. I'm pretty sure it was 10mm x 1.0, but it was a banjo bolt so you'll have to source the kind of bolt you need i suppose. Check summit though-- they have a lot of stuff, and they ship at nog speeds. I usually wait to order from them until i need a bunch of stuff though because they charge like a $7-9 handing fee, but shipping is free. The banjo bolts themselves were $5-8 a piece

I had a similar problem with my Stealthmode oil line kit but only because i assumed the 14b had the same inlet as my TD04L. The stealthmode oil line uses a 3/8 JIC 37 degree flare fitting and its a bitch to find a JIC to metric fitting, but i found it in the Goodridge catalog and called up Slowboy Racing with the part # since they are a dealer for Goodridge and they sent one out to me for like 6 bucks.

I wonder if the line is JIC 5/16" or 3/8". I found the part on page 70 of http://www.goodridge.net/usa/pdf/Goo...alogue2005.pdf that I think will work. I was going to use a M10 banjo bolt with the flare end, but I'm uncertain of the size of the flare and I'd rather not take it off to measure since it's JB Welded on.

How about a JIC male to Metric male adapter? M10 to 5/16" I imagine.... since the line is 1/4" Is the thread pitch 1.00 in the turbo? I have no clue.
All that summit appears to have is AN fittings. What the ---- is a JIC fitting anyway?

Edit: According to Stealth's site the correct pitch is 12x1.25....

mine was 3/8 JIC so i would assume all Stealthmodes lines would be 3/8.


so you would need a 3/8 JIC to M12 x 1.25 male adapter

btw all JIC fittings have a 37 degree flare i believe

edit: JIC fittings are hydraulic fittings that have that 37 degree flare to seal up without and thread tape or anything.

Well the JB Weld isn't working out too well. I still have a leak but it's better. I'm still waiting on a response from SlowBoy, so I might just have to call them.
