now that im boosted is it normal to have such a hot engine bay? but im not over heating or anything? just the whole engine bay is hot

i always thought the hoods were vented like that cuz of how the ic was mounted in the engine.

 

the WRX and STi hood scoop is to ram air over the intercooler, which for some unknown reason, is mounted right on top of the motor.

The vents on the Evo are obviously for cooling, since they are functional. Otherwise they would be just for looks.

 

i rather the vents. looks very easy to make.
i highly doupt anything on those cars are for looks.
