Issue: Running catch can empty or baffled w/steel wool

I just got a greddy catch can and I was certain about using the steel wool to baffle it for better filtration of the air/oil but Ive heard some don't recommend it because it is possible pieces of the steel wool can get caught up through the intake system...?

Im going to run my setup from pcv valve to catch can to preturbo intake

Anyone run theirs with steel wool and have any problems with that? ( I bought the thicker steel wool used for cleaning at walmart ) Im pretty sure its highly unlikely but I dont want to risk it.

Use a hose clamp or something and put a little metal screen on the end of the pre-turbo line

I dont think you get what im trying to say because I have a filter on my preturbo intake with a pipe running to it so my line from the catch can will go into that same pipe

oh well thats kinda what I thought what u were hinting towards but that just might get clogged up with oil over time...ive seen some websites saying to baffle it with the wool so I might trust their word and experience.

What i like to do and suggest you might do is, get a really fine screen, wrap the steel wool inside, and epoxy or glue the wholething down to the bottom of the catch can. Then you should be fine.
