Default internal wastegate

I have a garrett aireseach internal wastegate turbo great shape, with a obx equal length manifold, with a square wastegate flange think its for a hks/greddy wastegate but I plan to block it off and use the internal wastegate, since I only plan to run 7 to 8 psi, the internal wastegate is set at 7 psi. is it true its dangerous for my engine using this with a manual boost controller? my friend told me its not good using the internal.

You will be fine, when you get into boosting into the teens with the internal gate, and boost controller, you may have boost creep issues, but for what you are doing, I think I wouldnt worry about it.
