internal to external?
 

Ok so im sposed to be getting a 48/60 from an 80's ford murker from canada, it has internal wastgate. Can I change it to an external wastegate? And what all would I need to do this?

Or would it be better to just get a completely diferent turbo.

You'll need a block off plate, and an manifold that supports an external wastegate and an external wastegate of course. It's perfectly doable. No reason to ditch the turbo.

take off the internal wg... get a dp that has a 5 bolt pattern with the hole blocked and ur good to go
