intercooler question

Default intercooler question

i will be boosting at 9psi and im just wondering if junkyard intercoolers (saw an intercooler in a mk3 supra) are worth the money or if i should just get a an aftermarket one from ebay?

supra ones are good. really anything is better than nothing


i wouldnt spend anything more than $45 on a junkyard intercooler though

the supra is a nice size but it's only about 2" piping and they come out on the same side.
what car do you have?

I say fmics are too cheap on ebay to waste time and money on a junkyard one, it will be more work and money to fit a factory intercooler than a $20 to $50 ebay one.

the ------- problem with the $50 ebay ones is that the shipping is $40 sp you will still end up paying $100 for a intercooler

i have a 84 celica gt liftback...i was thinking about just getting the supra, because im already using the ct26 (mr2) and 440cc injectors (from a supra)..

yeah, that was kinda why i thought about just getting a junkyard ic..

When putting this ---- on another car it really doesn't matter what car they came out of. You need to find what fits best/easiest.

a junk yard ic for a first setup is one hard puzzle piece, specially in rex's
