GREAT!!! I don't care how it looks...as long as i can save cash...i don't want to spend money on "really nice" pipes until i get the front mount that i REALLY WANT..

sorry beau not mocking you at all.

i have been tearing my hear out looking for some really good local pipe benders and i can't find any who'll do it for an honest price...

I heard that rad hose is okay to use. Now that i am certain I can relax...

thanks,
chris

ps. sorry if i had offended you

Has anyone ever tried water tight flexable electrical conduit for IC piping? I can get the two inch flexable stuff localy at a electrical suply for about a buck a foot, its realy flexable and should make great air tubing since its water tight. Its a cream colored plastic coating that i probably will paint silver.

Re:INTERCOOLER PIPING

flexible as in accordion-style? that would just create too much drag and turbulence on its way to the TB...if it was smooth on the inside, yet flexible then I don't see why not. according to these guys, you can use ANYTHING just so long as it doesn't melt...and it doesn't create turbulence in the flow of air into the TB.

The coolest, cheap easy IC piping I have ever done is with motorcycle exaust pipe. The local Harly Davidson dealer takes stock pipes off all the time and replaces them with after market ones, the stockers usualy wind up in the trash. I get the take offs for free(I know a guy), They are 2 1/8" round chrome tubes with all kinds of 45 and 90 degree bends. The ones I got tonight came off a Sportster and have a 1" cross over pipe that runs between the two main pipes, perfect place to mount a BOV.

That's an awesome idea... would be great for downpipe because it won't rust (from inside out)

The water tight conduit is sorta smooth on the inside, looks like that cheap flexable exhaust pipe you get at the auto parts store on the inside but its got a smooth plastic cover on the outside.

Re:INTERCOOLER PIPING

I am an electician and I deal with that "flexible conduit" a lot. I don't think it would be a good idea to use on your turbo setup. It is only rated to a certain temperature and since you would have to cut out the inner metal to connect it to anything, it would be exposed to all kinds of heat. Plus, the inside is not smooth and the metal without the plastic is not air tight. Save your money and buy some mandrel bends from Jegs, Summit, or even Ebay. $69.99 plus $15.00 shipping for 4 2.5 inch mandrel bent mild steel U bends. Perfect for your turbo setup.
