intercooler intake outake diameters

do intercooler intake outake diameters matter in relation to performance? I have a intercooler off a 1.7diesel vauxhall astra seems to be ok but intake and outake is about 25mm wide

25mm???? thats waay too small...all the air from your turbo is gonna be forced through that little opening and it'll be a major restriction

indeed, 25mm sounds a bit on the small side. Mine were around 70mm on a 1.6l honda
