have you ever heard of it. What make this happen?

Re: intercooler heat soak

Not getting air across the IC and as a result it heats up over time and stays heated. The air ends up being heated by the IC when out of boost. That was a pretty dumbass question, but I felt compelled to answer it.

thax for the reply, i guess its kinda self expanitory. im assuming i shouldnt worry about that unless im running masssive amounts of boost

dont qutie understant that part

Re: intercooler heat soak

Because the intercooler is heated up while boosting and because it's not sufficiently cooled off, when you're out of boost and cruising or idling it will still be hot. Instead of keeping the air at ambient temperature, the intercooler now acts as a heater and heats the intake air, which is not so good.

Some of the guys have radiator fans on their FMIC's, they seem to work decently at keeping IAT's down.
