I have the option of buying a new Johhnyracecar intercooler which is 31x6x3 but its kind of expensive or I can just use a mkiii supra intercooler, it was run at 18 psi with no leaks. It was modifed to have inlet and outlet on opposite sides of the intercooler.
What would you guys do?

If your not planning on pushing too much power and money is an issue the smic will suffice.

 

Well the JRacer intercooler is $150 shipped and the Supra intercooler is going to be given to me from a friend. I am leaning towards the supra intercooler b/c of the cost issue. I wanted to know if I will see a big loss in power just b/c I got the smaller intercooler? -

 

It'll be fine. With the bigger ic you end up losing about 1psi due to pressure drop.

 

dude the supra mkiii intercooler is bomb... my friend had the option to upgrade his on his supra but at the moment why should he? flos perfectly and holds great on 22psi with upgraded everything but the ic... looks hella sleeper cuz its black... the jrc intercooler is ------ cheap man... if u wanna "bling bling" ic then get the jrc... i paid 175 for the 5inch like 4 months ago wish i woulda waited but yah the supra ic will be fine man... im sure u wont even boost as much as my friend and it holds fine
