just got a quick question about inter cooler placement my friends and i are debating weather this setup is the best it could be. the car is a b7 audi a4 2.0t quatro and they are selling this kit for "$1195" with a turbo to IM pipe kit that doesn't include filter to turbo intake witch is another $400 or some ----, here is my problem with this baller *** setup it is sandwiched between the radiator and the front bumper support up front, can anybody say heat soak?

so here is my question. would this setup which is about 24" x 24" x 1" (with about 6 x 24 being covered by the bumper) be more efficient as say as 6x3x30 below the bumper support? when you cancel out the area covered by the bumper wouldn't this be a more efficient 300hp setup and easier on the radiator




and btw this is a balla setup so were talking about the best cores and all other things being equal, i know a thinner core with a wider surface area is usually more efficient than a thicker ic with a smaller area and equal volume but like i said the setup may see max 300whp and its not an ssac chinees **** core

i bet that baller setup would be a better setup because it probably is less restrictive having shorter tubes but either setup should be fine for 300whp.

see im just not feelin the IC for $1200 and only 300hp, they had make it thin to fit it through the bumper so its only 1 inch thick but there is enough room to stick a 30x6x3 right under the damm thing these ******* charge an arm and a leg for performace ----
