intercooler=no power gain
ok i installed my intercooler but the car seems to have the same amount of power. should i jack up the boost the air is now cooler so my engine should be able to handle it right?? o yea and my BOV doesn't work now ethier plz help

are you sure the air is cooler? You could be getting heat soak off that 200* radiator sandwhiched to it... also you could be getting a boost leak or somthing esp if your bov isnt working, are you sure youre boosting in the first place?

The intercooler isn't going to give you more power, it allows you to jack the boost up safely. On top of that I'm sure you had 1-2 psi of pressure drop from putting it in there. That may be why you don't have more power. You have to jack the boost up.

Lowering the temperature at the same pressure increases the air density of the intake charge - there are more O2 molecules in the charge. Since there is more available O2, you can combine it with more gasoline and get more powerful combustion.
Summary: cooler charge = more powah (but, there might be something else going on here - like pressure drop in the intercooler, the intercooler being heated up by the rad etc)
Also - is the vacuum line connected to your BOV? I can't see it in your picture.
